Seeking a General Laborer to Join Our Team:
As a full-time General Laborer, you will work with a crew that installs underground utilities. You will assist heavy equipment operators by performing detailed work on the ground. General Laborers are hard workers who see the details and keep their focus while they perform their jobs. With time, you will learn the industry and how to install underground utilities. The career track for a Laborer is to learn how to use heavy equipment and eventually become an operator.
Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions
- Dig pits, trenches, and foundations for job site construction
- Learn how to assemble underground utility systems
- Use tools like tamping machines, saws, drills, and other hand tools
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks on the job site
- Direct traffic when necessary
- Perform general maintenance for equipment and vehicles as requested
- Perform other tasks as directed by your Foreman
Requirements:
- Able to lift to 70 lbs.
- Able to traverse construction sites
- Able to work in hot/cold changing environments
- Able to use a smartphone and related apps
- Able to pass a drug test and background check
