We are seeking a Project Manager for St. George and surrounding areas. The candidate must possess the knowledge and experience of a project manager & estimator and be able to coordinate and complete projects in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. The candidate must have the knowledge and experience to manage the construction of a public or private civil engineering project.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the project schedule
  • Review and redline project plans and specifications for correctness, take-offs and potential problems
  • Bidding, Buyout & Purchasing – Responsible for initial project budgets, bidding with subcontractors, buying out the project, hiring of the subcontractors
  • Subcontract Administration – Review all contracts and purchase orders. Process and approve monthly draw requests.
  • Write and review Scopes of Work
  • Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis
  • Approve all invoices for payment
  • Accept only high construction standards and quality control
  • Ensure that “as-built” drawings are updated daily
  • Maintains records and prepares reports
  • Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings.
  • Prepare minutes of all project meetings
  • Compile daily construction logs and composes correspondence relative to work
  • Inform the company of any errors, discrepancies or omissions as they pertain to the plans and subcontractor pricing
  • Present all change order requests

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of direct experience as a Project Manager for Civil Engineering Projects,
  • Required to use a personal computer and smartphone and be familiar with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Must have an understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of the standards, codes, construction processes, procedures and regulations pertaining to state, county and municipal projects
  • Thorough knowledge of construction specifications, contract documents and the bid process
  • Ability to organize and set priorities for work assignments, to assign and explain them to project team members
  • Ability to make cost studies and estimates
  • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to the work
  • Good written and oral communications skills a must!
  • Ability to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications, schematic diagrams and isometric drawings

  • Technology: 3 years (Mandatory)
